Home Staging

Home staging is shown to have decreased the time a house remains on a market. Here are a few tips to help you spruce up your home for any showing or open-house!

Get rid of the clutter. While you want your home to have a lived in feeling, it shouldn’t be too cluttered or personalized to your tastes. Keep it clean and simple with a few accent pieces of decor.

  1. Don’t just focus on cleaning in the inside of the home, curb appeal is important too. Make sure your house numbers are easy to read, add some potted plants on your porch, and most importantly, don’t forget to mow your lawn. During the evenings, turn on the front light so any drivers can also get a look of the house.

  2. Freshen up your kitchen and bathroom cabinets with fresh new handles and knobs. It’s really the little details that can make a place shine.

  3. If you are able to, don’t shy away from repainting the rooms and getting the homes ready. Brown can be a neutral and inviting color, a blue or green could give a dash of serenity to a bedroom. Accent colors word well as well. Color psychology can play a big part of changing the look and feel of a room and potential buyers’ feel for a home.

  4. Use white linens— they always add a feel of luxury. A white duvet can make a bedroom feel clean and luxurious, like a hotel room.

  5. Change your lighting so that it suits the house, and freshens up the rooms. You want the lights in your home to have a warm glow, that really expands a space.

  6. Lastly, it’s important to remember that we aren’t selling a home, we are selling a life. We have to create moments that they will connect to.
